Over the past year, Aircall has seen tremendous product- and people-led growth. We’ve focused on upgrading our product and integrations, hiring (ending the year with 600+ new Aircallees), and helping 10 000 customers build richer conversations, but there is so much more we want to do in 2022.

Before we get into that though, let’s take a moment to celebrate our team’s efforts.

10,000+ Customers Around the World

Customer obsession is at the core of Aircall’s value system, so hitting the 10,000-customer mark was an exciting moment for all our teams.

To really put that number in perspective, Aircall is used in 103 countries, showing that our industry-leading cloud-based system can help your team be more productive no matter where you live.

All year, our HR team has been focused on hiring and retaining top-tier talent around the world—doubling our numbers.

“Our success has always been about the people, whether they are our customers or our employees,” says Sandrine Meunier, Chief People Officer. “We’ve reached a few milestones this year, but hitting the 600-employees mark emphasizes the amazing growth we’re experiencing as a company. We owe our continued growth to our unwavering desire to thrive together, and I cannot thank enough each and every Aircallee for furthering Aircall’s culture and making this milestone possible.”

Our global teams are growing fast, ranging from product and field marketers to sales team members, software engineers, data engineers, customer support reps, and more. Beyond that, we now have more than 35 nationalities represented, proving that diversity, equity, and inclusion are at the heart of our success.

$120M Series D Funding Round

Our investors saw value in Aircall from the beginning and believe in our ability to impact customers and create lasting customer relationships now and in the future, so in June, we completed a Series D funding round of $120M. The best part? We ended up earning a valuation of more than $1B (unicorn status!).

“Since the beginning of Aircall, we’ve helped thousands of companies to enrich their customer experience through voice channels, with more empathy than ever in the past year. We also witnessed an increasing demand for visibility and data about teams and performances,” says Olivier Pailhes, co-founder and CEO (PR Newswire).

3 New Office Openings

With offices in Paris and New York, we were excited to continue our investment in our customers by opening offices in London, Madrid, and Sydney.

“This year was about getting closer to our customers and making sure that we’re able to serve the world from each timezone and each language,” says Jonathan Anguelov, Co-Founder and General Manager EMEA & APAC. “2021 was also the year of maturity for Aircall—the year where we increased our number of integrations from 50 to 100, mainly built by our partner software vendors.”

Reopening the Office & Creating In-Person Moments

Another milestone that required Aircallees to work together and get creative was reopening our offices and creating opportunities for team members to bond in-person.

In July, the New York, Madrid, and Paris offices held Summer Parties to celebrate our funding round (remote employees in each region joined in the fun too!).

In October, the North American team held an offsite in Pennsylvania’s Pocono Mountains, where they learned about building relationships and improving cross-team communication.

“There’s just a different energy when working with your friends and peers in the office. It’s game-changing. Building off each other’s excitement and glee motivates me as an individual and teammate to be the best version of myself every day. It’s been truly refreshing after the emotional 18 months we’ve all had,” says Louis Dumortier, Strategic Partnerships Team Lead.

Finally, in November, global teams gathered in Paris and Madrid to plan for 2022 and dream about the future of Aircall.

What’s Next in 2022?

As you can tell, Aircall has seen a lot of growth this year. So what’s next for 2022? We have a lot planned on the product side, with new features and integrations, a focus on building out our technical teams, and hopefully, more togetherness than ever!
