What is CPNI?
The CPNI is information that is made available to us solely by virtue of our relationship with you and includes details regarding the telecommunications services you purchase, including the type, destination, technical configuration, location and amount of use of such services, as well as related billing information.
Your CPNI doesn’t include your name, address, phone number, or the content of your phone calls nor the information about non-telecommunications services you purchase such as messaging. CPNI also does not include aggregated information not specific to you.
How do we use your CPNI?
Under the federal law, you have the choice to approve or disapprove certain uses of your CPNI.
We use your CPNI only for purposes within the scope of ordinary business operations, fraud prevention, or legal compliance which does not require your approval. In particular we may use your CPNI to:
Provide the services you purchase, and to respond to your questions;
Communicate with you regarding service updates, offers, and promotions;
Provide you with customized content and advertising related to the services you already purchased that may be of interest to you;
Address network integrity and security issues;
Investigate, prevent or take action regarding illegal activities, violations of our terms of service or acceptable use policies.
If at any time in the future we would like to use your CPNI for other purposes requiring your approval, we will give you the option to disapprove or approve of those uses.
Who do you share my CPNI with?
We may share your CPNI without your approval with our affiliates, agents, partners and third parties acting as our service providers that perform activities on our behalf for the purposes mentioned above. We do not sell or disclose otherwise your CPNI to third parties not working for us.
